Postcard Illustration. Ready for text in bottom right and upper left. I had a lot of fun with this, and learned a faster way to make these illustrator illustrations! Which is fantastic, because in the past it took me so long to create line work and coloring. I sense there will be many more of these to come :)

Rooster sketch

So i did a sketch of this rooster today. He almost does't look like a rooster, but its pretty spot on from the photo. Thinking about putting it to canvas soon.

Sketchbook Update

Yes, I had chapped lips when i drew this. These are all new things that i am going to be throwing into Illustrator in the next month, vectorizing and making into pretty beautiful, shiny illustrations and characters.

"A Study of Chickens"

The show is up! If you're in the New Canaan area, stop into Rosie's cafe/ gourmet deli and view these awesome new paintings I just completed. The paintings range from 12x18 to 30x30 and all are for sale! :) The series was such a journey, and you can totally tell by looking at the progression from the first painting to the last. Such interesting reptilian looking creatures.

A few Chickens for the show

I normally don't post about oil paintings, but these have been such an important part of my day to day life these days. I have been spending almost every waking moment of the past two months painting chickens for a show in New Canaan. They will be hanging on the walls of 'Rosie' on the 9th till some time mid April. Really they have been a wonderful journey. Heres hoping a few sell there! :)
