I have two sketchbooks to update the blog with. I have been purchasing the "hand-book" small 5x5 sketchbooks, and find them so wonderful to carry around with me to cafe's, bars, restaurants, hiking... literally anywhere because they are so perfect. I have really enjoyed them, and I hope you do too!

Chickens!
About a month ago, i placed my chicken paintings at The Stand in Fairfield. They are such a hit, and the show looks great. Go check them out if you like portraits of fancy chickens! They are all for sale :)
Other than the chickens, there's a dog portrait that i am currently at a stand-still with because of hurricane Sandy blowing through and stealing my heat, light, and water: the necessities for comfortable painting conditions. As soon as the power comes back, it's right back to painting for me. Till then, i am camping out at Fat Cat Pie in Norwalk.

So I've been Inking....
So I've been inking lately. I had the pleasure of trying for a cartooning job, and these are what came out. The assignment was to make a baby stegosaurus and a baby dragon. I really like how the style of cartoon affected me and made my drawings very rounded.
:) Very happy with this. Enjoy!
There are also a few other recently inked sketches from my sketchbook at the bottom, incase you were wondering.

Postcard Illustration. Ready for text in bottom right and upper left. I had a lot of fun with this, and learned a faster way to make these illustrator illustrations! Which is fantastic, because in the past it took me so long to create line work and coloring. I sense there will be many more of these to come :)
